                               PAUL SCHERER

MUIR-Paul Scherer, 85, of 408 Hill Street Ionia, died Wednesday at Ionia 
Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 20, 1905, in Shelby, Ohio, the son of Albert and Wilhelmenia 
Scherer.

He was a fuel oil distributer in Royal Oak from 1935 to 1950. He lived in Mason 
from 1950 to 1967, then moved to Pewamo, where he engaged in farming until 
moving to Ionia in 1989.

He was married to the former Viola Kalsow.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in March of 1982, four brothers, and two 
sisters.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at the Lyons Baptist Church, with the 
Rev.Paul Carmichael the Rev.Larry Frye and the Rev. David Clapp officiating.

Burial will be in East Plains Cemetery, Matherton.

The family will be at the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir from 2-9 p.m. Friday.

A Memorial has been established for the Lyons Baptist church, in care of the 
funeral home.
