Sentinel-Std. - Friday, Sept. 10, 1948

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Myers 
funeral home for John A. Scheurer, 88 of 422 North Jackson street, who died 
Monday September 6, at the Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids.

Dr. J. Lee Lewis officiated, with interment in the Highland Park cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gordon Burns, Louis Speckin, Frank Gresdoviak, Erwin Redemsky, 
Frank Dyke and Guy Edington.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. William Storch and Mrs. Louis Speckin.

Attending from away were Mrs. A.J. Foster of Lansing, Ms. Phil Bradstrum of 
Sparta, Mr. and Ms. Morley Knott and Mrs. George B. Walt of Carson City, Mrs. 
Ella Pangburn, Mrs. Charles Russell and Mr. and Ms. Wayne Quigley, all of Grand 
Rapids, Mr and Mrs. John Adgate of Saranac, Mrs. C.G. McMeen and Mr. and Ms. 
Louis E. Scheurer of Detroit, and Dr. and Mrs. R.S. Sykes of Muir.
