                              Maxine D. Scheurer

Maxine D. Scheurer, aged 87 of Lyons, passed away May 8, 2008.

She was born Dec.31, 1920 in Grand Lede, the daughter of Lynn and Minnie Louise 
(Hiesrodt) Skinner. She worked around the farm most of her life and loved er 
flower gardens. Maxine married Shirley R. "Shird" Scheurer Aug. 11, 1951. He 
preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1997.

She is survived by brothers Ron and Marge Skinner of Grand Ledge; sister 
Josephine Davis of Lansing; brother-in-law Allen (Berneda) Scheurer of Ionia and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by one brother, Willard Skinner; sisters Maquerite 
Calhoun and Ruth Brace and brothers-and-sisters-in-law Harold and Bertha 
Scheurer, Kenny and Jennette Scheurer, Robert and Joyce Scheurer and Leonard and 
Jean Hausserman.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with 
Pastor Clint Galloway officiating. Interment at Balcom Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends and relatives 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Online
