Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Sep 1964

Funeral service for Sarah A. Scheurer, 79, who died Wednesday at Ionia 
hospital, was conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at LeValley Methodist 
church.  The Rev. Earle J. Stine officiated and organist was Mrs. Frank Stout.  
Jay Chamberlain was usher.  Bearers were Allen, Robert, Kenneth and Ford 
Scheurer, Leonard Hausserman and John Lesher.  Burial was at Balcom cemetery.

Attending from out of town were Marian White of Detroit; Mrs. Leo Sundell and 
Mrs. Edward Sundell of McBain, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Slade of Vermontville, Mrs. 
Adam Rogozinski of Lansing, John Lesher of Chicago, Mrs. Elaine Klahn of 
Cadillac, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Knox of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Quigley of 
Grand Rapids, Mrs. Florence Wall, Mrs. Mary Knot and Robert Knot of Carson 
City, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Smith of Portland, and Dr. and Mrs. Rollie Sykes of 
Muir.
