Mr. and Mrs. Schild were one of the pioneer families of the city, he being in the blacksmith business in Ionia for many years, located on the corner of Washington and Steele streets, in the building which was torn down last year. Mr. Schild’s death occurred in March, 1933. Since that time Mrs. Schild has lived with her nephews. Surviving are one brother, Charles Hall of Pompeii, three nephews, Floyd Bennett, of Kalamazoo; Edgar of Pompeii, and Harry Anderson. Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with Rev. Paul L. Stewart, of the Church of Christ officiating.
