Dec. 7, 1918 The funeral for McDonald K. the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schild, was held Sunday at the residence, 312 King street, at 4:30. Rev. M.L. Marshall officiated and burial was in Highland Park cemetery. Services: Sun. 6 October 1918 Highland Park Cemetery #5-39 Richard “Dick” Schild June 21, 1982 Ionia Sentinel-Standard – Tue. June 22, 1982 IONIA- Richard (Dick) Schild, 55, 413 King St., died Monday at home. He was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Ionia, the son of Carl and Edna Schild. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a former employee of the A.O. Smith Co. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Sheridan. Survivors include one daughter, Wendy Schild of Ionia; two stepsons, James and Chuck Burns of Ionia; two stepdaughters, Mary Klein and Carol Kulitz of Ionia; one brother, James of Hastings; four sisters, Marge Eddy of Missouri, Carlene Munn of Grand Rapids, Marion Bargh of Northville and Evelyn Clark of Northville. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman Funeral Home, with The Rev. Kendall Downing officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Sheridan VFW and envelopes may be picked up at the funeral home.
