Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 29 Aug 1961

Carl H. Schild, 67, of 413 King street, a lifelong resident of Ionia, died at
the Ionia rest home Tuesday morning.  He had been ill several years and was
confined to the rest home one week.  Born in Ionia February 28, 1894, he was the
son of Henry and Christine McDonald Schild.

Mr. Schild was a gun and rod maker.  He attended St. Johns Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife, Edna; four daughters, Mrs. Marlon Berga of Grand Rapids,
Mrs. Marjorie Eddy of Marion, Iowa, Mrs. Beryl (Carlene) Munn of Ionia, and Mrs.
Evelyn Kirsch of Perrysburg, Ohio; three sons, Richard Schild and James of
Ionia, and Robert Schild of Grand Blanc; and 12 grandchildren.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Myers funeral home with the Rev. Theodore
Timler, pastor of St. Johns Lutheran church, officiating and interment at
Highland Park cemetery.
