Ionia Standard, 19 Oct 1888

The funeral services of Mrs. Barbara Schillinger, were held at the German
Evangelical church, after brief ceremonies at the late residence of the
deceased, on Sunday afternoon last, and were attended by a large concourse of
friends.  The deceased was 57 years of age, and had resided in this city for 36
years, having left her birthplace in the “faderland” at an early age.  The
officiating minister, Rev. Haller, spoke highly of the dead sister, and the
ladies’ aid society of the church paid her a touching tribute in a serious of
resolutions.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.]
