The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Saturday, December 2, 1916
Funeral services for August Schipper were held at the residence of his 
daughter, Mrs. Steinke, Friday afternoon, Rev. H. B. Succop of the German 
Lutheran church officiating.  The bearers were four sons-in-law, Henry 
Woodrich, Wm. Steinke, Robt. Holtz, and Chas. Heiden.  Interment was in 
Highland Park cemetery.
