Schlosser, 83, of 447 Second street, Grand Rapids, died Friday morning at her home at 4 o’clock after an illness of six months. She was born July 25, 1859, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Havens of Orange township where she made her home for 53 years. The past 30 years have been spent in Grand Rapids. October 24, 1878, she was married to John Schlosser, who preceded her in death in November, 1940. She was a former member of SS. Peter and Paul church in Ionia and was a member of St. Mary’s church, Grand Rapids. Surviving her is a son, John H. Schlosser, of Orange township, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at SS. Peter and Paul church, Tuesday morning, March 23, at 9 o’clock. Rev. Fr. John S. Fons will officiate. The body will repose at the Boynton funeral home until time for services. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday, March 23, 1943 Funeral services for Mrs. Alice M. Schlosser, 83, of Grand Rapids were held Tuesday morning with a prayer service at the Boynton funeral home at 8:30 o’clock and Requiem High Mass sung by Rev. Fr. John S. Fons at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul church. Burial was in Highland Park mausoleum. Pallbearers were John Endres, Fred Kreiger, Frank Casssell and Fred Deal.
