Marylee Schluckbier, 86, passed away on Oct. 8, 2012, at Heartland Health Care 
Center in Ionia. 

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of 
her other interests were playing card games, crocheting, bird-watching and 
visiting friends.

In keeping with Marylee's wishes, cremation is planned.

Arrangements were made by Walker-Martin Funeral Home in Chesaning, with burial 
at Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop.

Born on May 18, 1926, in New Lothrop, Marylee was the daughter of Ira and 
Blanche Henry Birdsall. She graduated from Flushing Senior High School in 1944 
and from Hurley School of Nursing in 1962.

Survivors include sons, James (Sara Jane) Schluckbier of Columbus, Ind., and 
Richard (Sherry) of Copemish; daughter-in-law, Linda Schluckbier of Ionia; 10 
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Marylee was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Schluckbier; five 
brothers, Keith, Carl, Dort, Duane and David Birdsall; and one sister, Maxine 
Boulter.
