Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Apr 1977

Word has been received by Mrs. Lloyd Houghton of the death of a former Ionia
resident, Thomas Schmidt, 71, at his home in Brunswick, Georgia, Saturday. 
Although born in Wisconsin, according to Mrs. Houghton, he made his home on West
Lincoln avenue for a number of years before moving to 3017 Sherwood Drive in
Brunswick, Ga.

Surviving are his wife Lily; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Marlene) Yawn of
Brunswick, and Mrs. David (Loretta) Goettee, of Atlanta, Ga.; and five
grandchildren.  Services will be Wednesday with burial in Unadilla, Ga.,
according to Mrs. Houghton.
