Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 & 22 Jan 1968

Funeral services for Mrs. Katrina K. Schmitt, 86, will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at
SS Peter and Paul Catholic church.  Mrs. Schmitt of 508 Jones died at Ionia
County Memorial hospital Wednesday after a short illness.

She was born March 13, 1881 in Niles Center, Ill., the daughter of Mathias and
Doris Schmitt Yehl.  She was a member of SS Peter and Paul church.  Married to
Matthew Schmitt in Illinois they moved to Ionia in 1912 and her husband preceded
her in death in 1936.

Surviving are three grandchildren, two from Ionia, Mrs. Jennie Wright and Thomas
Brockman and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, one in Maywood, Ill., the
other in California.

Rosary will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Boynton funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katrina Schmitt who died Wednesday were Saturday at SS
Peter and Paul Catholic church.  Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
