LANSING- Frank A. Schmitt, 94, of Lansing, died January 28 at a Lansing 
convalescent home.

He was born December 27, 1890, in Lansing, the son of Jacob and Josephine Mutz 
Schmitt. He owned and operated a grocery store in Lansing. He was in real estate 
with the J.F. McKibbon Co. and retired from Fisher Body in 1955.

He married Catherine McKeone on June 4, 1914 at Lansing St. Mary's Church. She 
preceded him in death in 1981.

He was a former Master of Michigan District II Fourth Degree K of  C and a life 
member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Lansing.

He is survived by two sons, Francis Schmitt of Lansing and Rev. Father James J. 
Schmitt of Morrice, formerly of Westphalia, St. Mary's Church; one daughter, 
Mrs. Maxwell (Rosarita) Frisosky of Lansing; ten grandchildren, 30 great 
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Rosary services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Gorsline-
Runciman Downtown Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at10:30 a.m. at St. 
Mary's Cathedral, with Rev. Father James J. Schmitt concelebrating with clergy 
of the diocese. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers and honorary guard will be members of he K of C. Active 
pallbearers will be grandsons.
