Sentinel-Std. - Monday, July 21, 1986

PORTLAND- Regina C. Schmitz, 898, of 305 Chestnut, Westphalia, died July 19 at 
Lansing General Hospital.

She was born September 8, 1896 in Westphalia, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude 
Luckenbach Feldpausch. 

She is survived by five sons, Frederick of Pewamo, Al of Trufant, and Raymond, 
Edward and Michael, all of Route 2, Fowler; five daughters, Mrs. Francis 
(Marjorie) Platte of Pewamo, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Thelen of Ovid, Wilma 
Bambrick and Mrs. David (Alice) Hoover of Lansing, and Mrs. Jerome (Trudy) 
Schafer of DeWitt, 60 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren, four sisters, 
Bertha Pline, Gertrude Trierweiler, Matilda Trierweiler and Esther Schrauben, 
all of Portland and one sister-in-law, Doris Feldpausch of Portland.

Rosary services will be Monday at 3 and 8 p.m. at St. Mary's Chapel, Westphalia. 
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Church in 
Westphalia with the Rev. James McDougall officiating. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. 

Serving as pallbearers will be: Norman Cook, Hilary Feldpausch, Leonard 
Schomisch, Richard Schmitz, Dan Pline and Gary Schrauben.
