Mrs. Schmolz was born in Ohio in 1838 and came to Ionia almost the time of the close of the Civil war and, with the exception of a number of years spent in Cleveland, had lived in Ionia the greater part of her life. Her husband died about 20 years ago. Mrs. Schmolz is survived by two sons, Frank Schmolz, of Cleveland, O., and L. P. Schmolz, now internal revenue collector at Muskegon. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Zank and Mrs. Anna Taubert, and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Subsequent Publication: Wednesday, April 30, 1924 The funeral for Mrs. Caroline Schmolz will be held from the residence of her son, L. P. Schmolz, 524 West Main street, Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Thomas LeRoy Parker will officiate. Burial will take place in the family mausoleum at Highland Park cemetery. Private funeral.
