Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday March 17, 1966

Services Held for Mr.Joe Schnabel
Joe Schnabel, 71, passed away March 2nd of a heart condition.

A native of Ionia County and a retired farmer since 1952 he was the son of Peter 
and Margaret Schanbel.

He married Ethel York, July 12, 1919 and had lived in the Travis and Sebewa 
districts all their married life.

Mr. Schnabel was a WWI Veteran and belonged to the American Legion.

His wife passed away November 19, 1965.

Surviving is one son, Duncan of Lansing, one daughter Mrs.Norman Piercefield of 
Portland and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three sisters Mrs. 
Rose Tasker of Lake Odessa, Mrs.Helen Schwenter and Mrs Geneva Keagan of Detroit 
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Neller Funeral Home with burial in the East 
Sebewa cemetery.
