Ionia Sentinel Standard - Monday July 2, 1990

JAMES A. SCHNABEL

IONIA-James A. Schnabel, 981, of Ionia, died June 30 at the Belding Christian 
Nursing Home. He was born the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Roll) Schnabel on 
Nov. 27, 1908, in Berlin Township.

He graduated from SS.Peter & Paul High School in 1926 He was a farmer in Berlin 
Township most of his working life.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Gary (Nancy) Larson of Ionia; two 
grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor Schnabel of Ionia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Krieger and a sister, Rita.

The funeral Mass will be held at Saints Peter & Paul's Catholic Church in Ionia, 
Tuesday July 3 at 2 p.m. The organist will be Mary Cusack.

Burial will be in Mt.Olivet Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 t 8:30 pm. Monday at the Myers Memorial 
Chapel in Ionia.

The prayer vigil will be held 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saints Peter & Paul's Catholic Church.
