Lake Odessa Wave - Times - February 14, 1919
               BYRON W. SCHNEIDER

   Byron W. Schneider was born Dec. 25, 1870 in Odessa township, Ionia county,
Mich., and died at his home 
Feb. 3, 1919, aged 48 years, one month and ten days.

   When a child his parents moved to Ionia, Mich., but later returned to Odessa
township.  As a boy he 
attended the country school. In 1897 he was united in marriage to Dona Fox of
Woodland, Mich.  To this union 
four children were born, two boys, Verne and Clare, and two girls, Vera and
Bernice.

   He leaves to mourn his early departure his now sorrowing wife, four children, and
aged mother, three 
brothers and two sisters besides a host of friends and neighbors. l

   Mr. Schneider was a loving husband and a kind father and a very honorable friend
and neighbor.  He was a 
member of the Odd Fellows lodge.  He had been for some time subject to stomach
trouble and when he took 
the influenza a week age, he was taken with violent vomiting and coughing which
resulted in a hemorrhage of 
the stomach.  Because of the loss of blood he did not recover, although he remained
conscious to the last.

   The funeral was held at the home Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Rev.
Stressman.  The remains 
were laid to rest at Lakeside cemetery.
