Rita Mary Schneider, 82, of Pewamo,  passed away Sept. 10, 2006 at her 
residence. 

She was born on October 10, 1923 in Clinton Co. the daughter of Peter and Mary 
(Kramer) Goodman. Mrs. Schneider was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Pewamo and the Altar Society. She enjoyed being at home raising her family. 
She loved crocheting, quilting, and knitting but especially loved children. 

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Clemens; son, Lee and an infant son, 
Clemens. Surviving are her children Linda (Jerry) Huhn of Portland, 
LaVern "Butch" (Joan) Schneider of St. Johns, Roger (Special Friend, Sue 
Fedewa) of Pewamo, Sandy Thelen of Pewamo, Kathy (Gary) Gay of Davison, and 
Jerome (Mary Jane) Schneider of Pewamo; daughter-in-law, Sharon Schneider of 
Pewamo; 24 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Esther Kramer of 
Pewamo; sister-in-law, Helen Goodman of Westphalia; long time friend, 
Edys "Susie" Herling of Pewamo. 

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Charlon O. Mason, Pastor 
Sept. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo. Rite of Committal followed at 
St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Portland.  For those wishing contributions may made to the American 
Cancer Society or the Children's Miracle Network in memory of Mrs. Schneider.
