MARY SCHNEIDER
CHARLOTTE - Mary Schneider, 97, of Charlotte and formerly of Saranac, died at her
home on April 11.

She was born on July 28, 1890, in France, the daughter of John and Anna (Reisch) 
Schneider. She left France when she was 12 years-old and lived in ionia County until
a recent move to Charlotte.

She attended Ionia County Schools, St. Mary's Miriam and St. Anthonys.

Schneider is survived by one second-cousin, Theophile Schneider, of Charlotte and
several other cousins throughout Michigan and Colorado. She was preceded in death by one 
brother.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's, Miriam, with the Rev.
Eugene Alvesteffer officiating. Burial will take place in the Miriam cemetery following the
service.

Friends and family can visit on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Rosary services will be held on Thursday at 8
p.m.

Memorials can be made to Father Tom's Indian School.
