Benjamin Schneider Buried Last Sunday
Benjamin R. Schneider 86, retired farmer, passed away early Friday morning at his
home in Woodland after 
a lingering illness. He was born in Ionia, his parents were John and Elizabeth
Schneider. He has lived in the 
Lake Odessa-Woodland area for about eighty years, coming to this area when about six
years old. He 
retired from farming in 1941 and moved to his home at Woodland.

Mr. Schneider was a member of the Woodland E.U.B. church on M-50.

Surviving are his wife, Mattie J; one daughter, Mrs Erwin (Leona) Bates, route 3,
Lake Odessa; one sister, 
Mrs Rose Parney of Greenville; five grandchildren and one step-grandson, Floyd
Kimble of Hastings.

Mr Schneider reposed at the Pickens funeral chapel, Lake Odessa until noon Sunday
and then taken to the 
Woodland E.U.B. church where funeral services were held at 2:30. Burial in Lakeside
cemetery, with Rev. 
Robt. E. Betts officiating.
