The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 3, 1964
Mrs. Dona E. Schneider, 86, of route three died Sunday at 1:30 at her home 
east of Lake Odessa after a period of ill health.  She was born December 22, 
1877 in Barry county, the daughter of Ezra and Mary Warner Fox.  She was 
married to Byron Schneider at Ionia, February 22, 1897 and lived at the 
present farm on M66 the past 64 years.  Mr. Schneider died February 3, 1919.  
Mrs. Schneider attended Sebewa Baptist church and was a member of the Farm 
Bureau.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold Funk and Mrs. Bernice Eckman of 
Lake Odessa; one son, Vern Schneider of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren; 14 
great-grandchildren; one brother, Rolla Fox of Hastings.

Funeral service will be conducted at Pickens funeral chapel Wednesday at 1:30 
p.m. with burial at Lakeside cemetery.  The Rev. Robert Wessell of Sebewa 
Baptist church will officiate.
