Clair R. Schneider, 51, 213 Meachum street SW, Battle Creek, died unexpectedly 
Monday night shortly after being admitted to the hospital following a heart 
attack.  

He had lived in Battle Creek a number of years and was employed at the Clark 
Manufacturing company.  He was born March 18, 1908 at Lake Odessa, the son of 
Mrs. Dona Schneider, and the late Byron Schneider.  He attended Lake Odessa 
school.

Surviving are his wife, Mae; one step-daughter, Mildred of Battle Creek; his 
mother, Mrs. Schneider of Lake Odessa; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Vera) Funk of 
Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Bernice Eckman of Traverse City; one brother, Vern of 
Grand Rapids; nieces and one nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hebble funeral home in Battle 
Creek.  Burial will be at a Battle Creek cemetery.
