Hasting's Reminder-Saturday January 21, 2023

                         Alan Schondelmayer 

Alan "Big Al" Schondelmayer, age 60, of Woodland,MI went to his final resting 
place on January 13, 2023.

Alan was born on November 23, 1962 in Hastings. He loved hunting and fishing. 
When he lived on the lake his favorite things were BBQing for friends and giving 
pontoon rides.The family remembers the many 4th of July's spent on Jordan Lake 
watching fireworks with Alan on his pontoon.

Alan attended Lakewood Schools until the 11th grade and graduated from Caledonia 
Schools in 1981. As a young man Alan showed an aptitude for welding and fixing 
anything which served him well.

He will be dearly missed by his mother and stepdad Elaine and Butch Benner; 
sister, Denise; brother, Robert (Harriet); nieces, Tarrah,Skyler, Starlie; great 
nephews, Xaidyn, Kamdyn and niece Madyx.

Alan was preceded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on January 23, 2023 at Koops Funeral Chapel at 3 
pm, with the family recieving friends from 1 pm until time of services.

Donations in Alan's name can be given to the Woodland Eagles to help with their 
community involvement.
