Belding Banner-News Thurs.February 11, 1954

             Rites Saturday For Mrs. Schouten Long Time Resident

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the  
Fitzjohn Funeral Home for Mrs. Kittie Schouten. The Rev.H.E. Curch, of the 
Church of Christ, was the Officiating minister.Burial was in the River Ridge 
Cemetery.

Mrs.Schouten, who was 78 years of age, was the widow of J.K.Schouten, who passed 
away in 1940. The deceased was a member of the Church of Christ and had been a 
resident of this city for over 35 years.

Surviving are one sister,Mrs.Clara Andrews of Bellaire and a niece.

Pallbearers were Robert Sweet, Wilford Shawley, Norman Knapp, Avery Taylor, 
Charles Sayers and Fred Sears.
