Mrs. Schrauben died at her home at 205 Church in Portland Monday morning. She was born in Westphalia April 19, 1886. Her husband John preceded her in death in 1932. Surviving are seven sons, Herman, Isadore, Clarence, Edwin, John and Richard all of Portland and Raymond of Carson City, five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Wight of Portland, Mrs. Agnes Stump of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Alice Veltman of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Martha Doll of Lansing, Mrs. Helen Kavanaugh of Williamston; 79 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Irene Ulrich of Fowler and Mrs. Regina Schrauben of Westphalia. She was a member of St. Patrick’s church and altar society of Portland. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland. Bearers will be Herman Schrauben, Jr., Wayne, Larry and Eugene Schrauben, Gary Wight and Stanley Stump.
