Portland Review - April 20, 2008


Aileen May (Carr) Schrauben, 90, of Portland, passed away in April 12, 2008.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1918 in Butler, Ind., the daughter of A.J. and Estella 
M. (Quaintance) Moore. Mrs. Schrauben retired from General Motors after 28 ½ 
years of service and has been a resident of Portland since 1942.

In 1974 she married Clarence I. Schrauben and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Also preceding her in death was a daughter Shirley A. Walker in 1992.

Surviving are her children, Sandra M. (Lee) Pitchford of Clare, William D. 
(Carolyn) Carr of Allegan, Robert J. (Diane) Carr of Portland and Charles E. 
(Connie) Carr of Portland; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one 
great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor, 
on April 15 at the First Congregational Church of Portland. Interment took 
place at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. Arrangements were entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of 
Mid-Michigan, in memory of Mrs. Aileen May (Carr) Schrauben. Online condolences
