Excerpts from Obituary:
Richard "Dick" Earnest Schrauben of Portland
Died December 3, 2018-age 91 
Born in Riley township, Clinton County MI., 
Youngest son of fourteen children of John & Amelia (Feneis) Schrauben
Lifelong resident of Portland, member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, past member of
Church Choir and Knights of Columbus Council #2168.
He and siblings finished 8th grade then went to work on their farm., father had died
in 1931
Dick joined the Navy in 1945, discharged in 1946, then three years in the reserves.
Retired from Lansing State Journal  as a Classified Advertisement Salesman in 1989
Married Margaret Mauren on May 26, 1951, she died July 28, 2006.
Enjoyed family time at their Cottage on Clifford Lake, playing Euchre, going to the
Casino
Traveled to Germany, London, Puerto Rico and all but four of the States.
Preceded in death by wife, Margaret after 55 years. seven brothers, five sisters, 
Survived by two sons, three daughters, 13 grandchildren, sister, two sister-in-laws,
nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian  Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber, 11:00 a.m. Friday,
Dec. 7, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rite of committal to follow at Portland Cemetery.
The Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lehman Funeral Chapel.
