Excerpts from Obituary:
VEARL SCHRAUBEN, of Portland.
Died Sunday April 23, 2017-age 94
Born at Palo, November 18, 1922 daughter of Ted and Olga (Little) Sherwood.
Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary at both in 
Portland VFW Post 4090 and at the American Legion, Carson City.
Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Matthew Schrauben Sr.; 
granddaughter, Jennifer Schrauben, grandson, Gregory Galey; and great-
granddaughter, Katlyn Guiford.
Surviving are 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-
great-grandchildren, sister, 4 sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
Mass of christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Larry King April 27, Rite
of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery.
