Schreiner at his home in Cook’s Corners last week removes another of the old pioneers of this township. He was a good citizen and respected by all who knew him. Mr. Schreiner was born in Prussia, August 27, 1824, and came to Otisco in 1843. He had been sick and confined to the house but a few weeks, passing away at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, March 25. His wife and son, Henry, of Lowell, who survive him, were at the death bed. The deceased was a Catholic and services were held by Rev. Wm. Fierle of Ionia at the church in this city, Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, his remains being interred in the Catholic cemetery.
