He was born May 3, 1904 in Ionia and was the son of William and Mary (Randall) Schreiner and former resident of Grand Ledge, he moved to Lyons five years ago. Mr. Schreiner was a member of the Lyons Baptist church. Surviving besides his wife, Leida, are four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Burnham and Mrs. Evelyn Kirchen of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Edith Quick of Lyons and Connie Sue at home; three sons, William R. SP-3 serving with the U.S. Army in France and James Leroy and Britt Reid at home; two stepchildren, Robert F. Green and Mrs. Cora L. Smith both of Lansing; his mother, Mrs. Mary Schreiner of Ionia; three brothers, Robert and Richard of Greenville and Henry of Belding; eight sisters, Mrs. Nellie Loveless of Palo; Mrs. Bertha Thorn of Eagle; Mrs. Emma Hopkins, Mrs. Marguerite Doty and Mrs. Mary Perkins all of Ionia; Mrs. Elizabeth Adams and Mrs. Edith Brazee of Los Angeles, Calif. and 14 grandchildren. Friends and relatives are being received at the Myers funeral home in Ionia until Saturday noon when the body will be removed to the Lyons Baptist church until funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Maurice Horn, pastor of the church, will officiate and interment will be in Highland Park cemetery in Ionia.
