Although Mr. Schroder had been in ill health for several years, he had not been seriously ill and was downtown Thursday afternoon and had two teeth extracted. He was born in Burlington, Ia., November 17, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schroder. When he was a boy he moved with his parents to Chicago where he lived for a number of years. He attended school there and for many years was traveling salesman for men’s clothing. He was married September 5, 1905, to Miss Lillie Mae Kirsheman, of Ionia, and after residing two years in Chicago they moved to Ionia and for the past 25 years have resided in the same home, 122 East Washington street. Because of ill health Mr. Schroder retired 15 years ago but had continued to be active in social circles and was downtown almost daily. Surviving are the widow; one brother, Albert Schroder, of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Simon Lavine, of Houghton, and Mrs. Hattie Baer, of Hancock. Also two nieces, Mrs. Bernard Hoyt, of Detroit, and Miss Clara Baer, of Chicago. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Subsequent Publication: Date Unknown Funeral services for Milton Schroder, 122 East Washington street, who died suddenly early Friday morning, will be held from the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Paul Stewart, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be at the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
