Utess, was stricken with apoplexy and died at the home on N. Dexter street, at 10 Friday a.m. Mr. Schultz was in usual health until yesterday. He has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Utess for past year and a half, since the death of his wife at Fowler. His age was 62, and he was a soldier of the Civil war, serving in the Fourth U.S. infantry. Funeral at 433 N. Dexter street, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, service by Rev. Dr. Cogshall. The remains were taken to Fowler Monday morning for interment, Dr. Cogshall accompanying the funeral party. Subsequent Publication, dated unknown: The funeral service for Christian Schultz was held at the home of John Utess, North Dexter street, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, conducted by Rev. Dr. Cogshall. There was a large attendance of friends of the family. The singing was by Mesdames Pear and Todd. The bearers were relatives of deceased. Remains were taken to Fowler, by early train Mon. morning, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Utess and other relatives, and by Dr. Cogshall.
