Sentinel-Std. - Saturday, Sept. 7, 1968

MUIR- Mrs. Bernice Banning Schurina, 66, of 3316 Heights Ravenna road, Muskegon, 
died Friday following a short illness.

She was born January 14, 1902 in Muir, the only daughter of John H. and Marion 
Howe Banning. Following graduation from Lansing Business university she was 
employed as assistant postmaster in Muir for a number of years. 

In 1930 she moved to Muskegon and was employed at Continental Motors until her 
retirement in 1966. Her husband Peter preceded her in death September 19, 1965.

She leaves four daughters, one foster son, five step-children, 22 grandchildren 
and 13 great grandchildren, all of Muskegon and one cousin of Muir.

Funeral services will be Monday at Walburn funeral home in Muskegon at 11 am. 
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm at Oakwood cemetery, Muir.
