Schutte, 71, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Spectrum Health United Memorial Long Term Care, Greenville. She was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Belding, the daughter of Earl S. and Marion Brown Bivins. Mary was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Greenville, the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 101 in Greenville. She was preceded in death by daughter, Cynthia Wilson; son-in-law, Frank Herroon; and brother, James Bivins. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Barbara Schutte of Orleans, Mary “Kate” and Larry Tarver of Fred, Texas, Annie and Rick Taylor of Gowen; son, John and Joyce Schutte of Sidney; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins; brother, Thomas Bivins of Zephyrhills, Fla.; half sister, Renae and William McGregor of Auburn, Wash.; stepsister, Jacquelyn and Arthur Brooks of Orleans; stepbrother, Terry Satterlee of Greenville; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bivins of Rockford, Julia Anderson and Linda Schutte both of Gowen. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will be in Spencer Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
