Ionia Daily Standard, 18 Feb 1901

Mrs. Margaret Schutz died at her home, 434 Baldie street, at 8:15 o’clock last
evening.  Deceased was born in Westphalia, Germany, came to America in ‘69, and
to Ionia in ‘76.  She was aged 80 years.  The husband who survives her is aged
83 years.  Of the eight children born to this union, but three are now living,
Frank of this city, Robert of Detroit, and Henry of Grand Rapids.  The funeral
will be attended from the church of SS Peter & Paul on Wednesday morning.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.]
