Mrs. Schwab Dies Monday Following Long Illness

Mrs. Armenda Oaks Schwab, of Sunfield, Michigan, passed away at her farm home
Monday, August 9, at the age of 65 years, after a long illness.  She was born in
Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Horn Oaks, April 21, 1889.

She was married to Mylo E. Schwab on March 12, 1908, and to this union were born
five children.  Her early married life was spent in Antwerp, Ohio, and in 1920
moved to Michigan, where she resided until the time of her death.  Mrs. Schwab
was active in church work her entire life and at the time of her death was a
member of the Sebewa Corners Methodist Church.

She is survived by the husband, two sons, Francis, of Ionia; Garland, of
Lansing; three daughters, Mrs. Clarice L. Showerman, of Portland; Mrs. Rose
Barker, of Ionia; and Mrs. Sarah J. Jane, of Charlotte; eleven grandchildren and
one great grandchild.  Also one brother, Lewis R. Oaks, of Hicksville, Ohio; one
niece and one nephew.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Sebewa Corners Methodist Church,
Rev. C. Robert Carson officiating.  Burial was in Danby Cemetery.  Pall bearers
wee Robert Yeiter, Joe Schwab, Harold Schwab, Sam Schwab, Floyd Schwab and Henry
Schwab.
