Lake Odessa Wave -Thursday October 9, 1958

BERTHA SCOFIELD DIED FRIDAY
Mrs. Bertha S.Scofield, 78, of route 2, Woodland, widow of Charles Scofield 
passed away early Friday morning at Pennock Hospital. She had been a patient 
there for a month. Her parents were Charles and Sophia Heise of Woodland 
Township and had spent her entire life in that area.

Mrs Scofield was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Ralph C. of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and Carl R. of 
Lansing; one brother Carl Heise of Woodland and three grandchildren. Her husband 
passed away in 1942.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in 
the Woodland Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Robert Richardson officiated.
