                              ARLENE M. SCOFIELD

SARANAC - Arlene M.Scofield, 50, of 9361 W.Riverside Dr., Saranac, died 
Wednesday evening at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

She was born in Boston Township on March 1, 1934, the daughter of George and 
Velma Tapley Austin She lived in Saranac all of her life.

She married Howard Scofield on December 2,1967, in Saranac.

Surviving are her husband; her mother, Velma Austin of Saranac; three sons, 
James Jones of Lowell, Michael Jones of Belding, and Mitchel Jones of Saranac; 
one daughter, Diane Jones of Lowell; one brother, Donald Austin of Saranac; six 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 pm. at theLake funeral Home in 
Saranac with Rev. James Frank of the Galilee Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will be in South Boston Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
