The Ionia Standard, Friday, May 31, 1918
John Scofield died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank 
Montgomery, at the age of 86 years.  The funeral service will be conducted by 
Rev. A. R. Mitchell at the home, 108 West Washington St., at 10:00 o’clock 
Wednesday morning.  Burial in Highland Park.
