November 30, 2024 SCOLLON Jane Marie Scollon, age 60, of Pewamo, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Obituary from Lehman Funeral Homes Jane Marie Scollon, of Pewamo, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 20, 2024 at the age of 60. She was born on October 5, 1964 to Melvin and Margaret (Rademacher) Schneider. Jane was a proud graduate of Pewamo-Westphalia High School – Class of 1982. On November 26, 1983, Jane married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Michael Scollon, and they were privileged to raise four beautiful children together. While working full-time and raising a family, she went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Baker College. Mike and Jane were always by each other’s side through many endeavors over the years. Not only did Jane work more than 40 years in the insurance field, she also contributed to the success of three family businesses, including Scollon Family Farms. Jane was always there to lend a helping hand and encourage her family and friends, who meant the world to her. Jane was strong-willed, determined, and accomplished anything she set her mind to. She always had a positive outlook on life, no matter what challenges she faced. Kind-heartedness and caring were only a couple of Jane's trademarks. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting intricate blankets for her family, gardening, and vacationing with her family throughout the country. Jane and Mike also enjoyed tropical vacations with their close friends 'The Pewamo Travelers'. Jane's legacy lives on through those she loved, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Jane in death are her parents; brothers, Roy and Wayne Schneider; mother-in-law, Marguerite (Matt) Trierweiler; and niece, Kary Mahany. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Michael Scollon; children, William (Daniel Moore) Scollon, Andrew (Emily) Scollon, Crystal (Antonio) Mena, and Declan Scollon; grandchildren, Hazel Scollon-Moore, Sawyer, Grant, and Sienna Scollon; siblings, Alan (Linda) Schneider, Steven (Mary Lou) Schneider, Doreen (Michael) Schafer, Gene (Doreen) Schneider, Gerald (Kay) Schneider, and Kenneth (Sue) Schneider; sisters-in-law, Zita Schneider and Bernadette (Gary) Meyer; in-laws, Annette (Randy) Schrauben, Joseph (fiancé, Jacinda) Trierweiler, and Lori (Jeff) Weiss; and father-in-law, Harry Klein. Visitors may pay their respects on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. The rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Darrel Kempf, Father Charlon Mason, and Father Peter Schafer at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo.
