Ionia Standard, 10 Jun 1910

A telegram received from Rev. W. H. Scott this morning, dated at Marshalltown, 
Iowa, June 7, says:  “Mother passed away at 3:45 p.m. today.”  Mr. Scott was 
pastor of the Church of Christ, Ionia, nine years, and was widely known and 
greatly beloved not only by the large membership of his church, but generally 
in the city and throughout the county, and his good wife was but little less 
known and no less loved, for she was one of the best of women, devoted to her 
family, but taking a wide interest in the church and in the people with which 
church and social activities brought her in contact.  The family left here in 
1897 for Ravenna, Ohio, where Mr. Scott held a pastorate for two or three 
years, going from there to Marshalltown, where they have since been.  There are 
five children, four boys – Walter, Ralph, Ray and Winne, and one girl, Lola.  
Deep sympathy will be felt here for the bereaved ones.
