All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net December 18, 2009, 3:32 pm Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 25 Sep 1944 Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah (Nina) Scott, 74, who died Friday afternoon after a short illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Seldon Conner, West Main street, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Morris funeral home, Saranac. The Rev. Dwight M. Kitch, pastor of the First Methodist church of Ionia, will officiate, and burial will be in the Saranac cemetery. Mrs. Scott was born July 29, 1870, in Campbell township, and had resided in Saranac for 25 years, until two years ago, when she moved to Ionia to live with her daughter. Surviving besides Mrs. Conner are two sons, Sheldon A. Rose of Saranac and R. G. Scott of Munster, Ind.; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two half sisters, Mrs. Flora Heaven of Clarksville and Mrs. Jack Scalley of Flint. Mrs. Scott was a life member of the Saranac order of the Eastern Star. The body will repose at the home of her son, Sheldon, until Tuesday morning, when it will be taken to the Morris funeral home for services.
