Wesley was born Jan. 28, 1940, in Greenville, the son of Robert and Frida Nickerson Scott. In earlier years he had worked at Breimayer Chevrolet, Warner & Sons Trucking and Whites Bridge Hydro-Commonwealth Power south of Smyrna. He was an active member of the Buckley Old Engine Club. He had a true love of preserving the history of steam and diesel engines. He was married Feb. 21, 1998, in Greenville, to Linda L. Ingalls. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Gary Allen Scott, in infancy. He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Steven and Sharon Scott of Greenville; Scott’s mother, Sharon Scott of Greenville; stepchildren, Randy and Tammy Ingalls of DeWitt, Kimberly Loren and Wendy Ingalls, both of St. Johns; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastors Charles Hewlett and Frank Marsh officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Boots for Kids Program, run by the Buckley Old Engine Club, or the Montcalm County Animal Shelter.
