Mary L. Schwab Scott, 62, of Ionia, died Saturday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand
Rapids.  She was born the daughter of Bernell and Ruth Douglas Hawley on August
6, 1929, in Ionia.  She was graduated from Ionia High School.  She lived in the
Ionia Area for about 35 years.

She is survived by four sons, James L. Schwab of Calif., Gerald L. Schwab and
Donald L. Schwab, both of Ionia, and Michael L. Schwab of Florida; seven
grandchildren; and one brother Darl Hawley of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene,
with the Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  Organist will be Rosalie
Starkweather.  Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery.  The family will be at the
Myers Memorial Chapel on Main Street, Ionia, Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 –
8:30 p.m.  A memorial has been established for the Family Fund, in care of the
funeral home.
