Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Oct. 19, 1942

Carl Irving Scott, 64, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday afternoon while 
taking in the milk cows at the farm of his sister, Mrs. Lillian Steere, who 
lives eight miles northeast of Sheridan. He was born August 2, 1878 in Sheridan 
and lived from 1914 to 1930 on the Catherine Brown farm north of Ionia. 
Previous to that time he had spent several years in the west. In 1930 he moved 
to the home of his sister where he had lived since.

Surviving him besides his sister, Mrs. Steere, is a brother, Glen A. Scott of 
Ionia.

Funeral services will beheld Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the 
Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan. Rev. Lowell McCarty will officiate and 
burial will be in the Sheridan cemetery.
