Mason, Ionia Elks lodge chaplain from Arthur Calvin of New York city. Scudder had been a resident of Scranton for about 30 years after leaving Ionia where he had been employed as superintendent of the paint shop in the Pere Marquette car shops. Funeral services are to be held in Scranton Thursday afternoon. Surviving is his wife, the former Lulu Younghans of Ionia. Mr. Scudder had been a life long member of the Ionia Elks lodge and still maintained his membership here. A lodge of sorrow will be held Thursday evening by the Ionia Elks lodge. Mr. Scudder was known in Ionia as an expert blue rock shot and was an ardent sportsman and hunter.
