The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 12, 1958
Mrs. Irene (Gayle) Scutt, 42, of Saginaw died at 3 a.m. Tuesday at a Saginaw 
hospital where she recently submitted to surgery.  Mrs. Scutt was born 
December 22, 1915 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Mrs. Lyman 
(Ethel) Gayle and the late Lyman Gayle.  She was a former resident of Ionia 
and was a graduate of Ionia high school.  

She is survived by her husband, Wendell; two sons, William of Phoenix, 
Arizona, and Tony of South Bend, Indiana; a daughter, Lana at home; one 
sister, Mrs. Martin Gia…mo of Grand Rapids; a brother William Gayle of New 
Jersey and her mother Mrs. Ethel Gayle of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Eggebeen funeral home in 
Grand Rapids.
