She was born October 1, 1903, in Kalkaska, the daughter of Joseph McConnell and Mahala Blodgett McConnell. She attended public schools in Langston and Greenville and also Lansing Business institute in Lansing. October 22, 1927 she was married to Carl Seabrook and lived her entire married life in Ionia. An active person in local organizations she was a member of First Christian church and took part in women’s organizations. She was a member of United Church Women, Royal Neighbors, Women of the Moose, past president and past district officer of both American Legion auxiliary and VFW. She was also a member of Federated Women’s club and adult leader of the Girl Scouts. Besides her husband Carl, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Philip Kinton of Pierson, Iowa; one grandson; three brothers, Fred McConnell and Morgan McConnell of Lansing and L.G. McConnell of Grayling. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Myers funeral home with Rev. James Kendall officiating. Burial will be in North Plains cemetery. Memorials have been established for American Cancer Society and First Christian church. Her family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to receive relatives and friends.
